I finally got the idea for the last Midnight that was missing!!! This is Emiko Amano, Midnight 6

She loves playing all kinds of musical instruments and making a lot of noise, all day and all night, she doesn't let anyone rest.

Her powers depend on the music she is singing/playing

For example - a sad song, makes her opponents discouraged and unable to fight properly.

or she can start a rock concert and throw the opponents away lol

My Rain Code OC: Emiko Morningdew 🧡

Non-Roleplay Emiko: A shy, bashful girl who is socially anxious around others, but she seems to have a soft-spot and liking towards Yuma.

A Master Detective with a Forte that can intercept and comprehend radio waves. She was not summoned to Kanai Ward.

DOB: Feburary 13

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Height: 5"7 (170 cm)

Forte: Electrowave

Likes: Safety

Dislikes: Feeling unprepared

Personality:

An anxious, kind-hearted girl who thinks ten steps ahead and prepares herself for any negative outcome, no matter how unrealistic the scenario is.

Her paranoid mentality can come off as ditzy and hard to work with, but she means well and is only being overprotective.

Despite Emiko's anxiety giving her trust issues and doubt, she still loves her friends dearly and will always be there for them.

Forensic Forte:

Emiko's forte is Electrowave. She can interrupt or comprehend any radio wave with the use of her watch. It's most used in cases to listen to top secret messages, but can do other things like hear music or stop TV broadcasts.

Like all fortes, there is a drawback. Her forte is connect to her heartbeat. If she's feeling anxious then the radio wave audio is static-y and can only become clearer when she calms down.

• Emiko is inspired by chapter 1's loading screen tip telling us about an "electrowave detective" not summoned to Kanai Ward.

• Her birthday, February 13 is World Radio Day

• Likes the nickname "Miko"

• Her initials are "EM" as a reference to how her forte is connect to electromagnetism.

• She and the other unsummoned detectives are a team.

• Fubuki was my main inspiration for her design

I’ve been thinking about something, remember what Kentaro’s mom Emiko said to Hiroshi when Lee first came back in 1982?

“Lonely scared people in pain can do terrible things”

She was referring to Lee in that instance, but this is actually also entirely true of Hiroshi.

How can Hiroshi lead a double life and lie and cheat and leave his kids behind in the way he did and do all these terrible things? Because he’s still a lonely and scared person in pain.

He might have said that he moved on from the losses of Keiko, Lee, and Bill, that he buried 3 empty boxes a long time ago, but it’s clear losing his entire family at such a young age irreparably damaged him. He lacked stability, he lacked security, two things that a child needs growing up. So a lonely and scared kid grew into a lonely and scared adult.

In many ways, maybe having two families was his own desperate way of ensuring stability and security. After all, if he loses one family like he lost his parental figures as a kid, he could at least still have the other family. There could still be stability in his life in some way. He could be secured in feeling like he won’t lose everything.

And we can see him leaving Lee behind through the same lens. It’s a way of protecting himself and his stability. Because if he accepts Lee back into his life, what if there’s more things like the obsessions that destroyed his childhood? What if Lee means more instability for the life he had built? Accepting in Lee would mean accepting all the dangers that led to him losing all of them in the first place, especially when Lee is saying that Keiko and Bill were right and gung ho about continuing the work.

So fear led him to have two families to protect himself, and fear led him to abandon another family member to also protect himself. A lonely and scared person in pain doing terrible things.

It doesn’t excuse his mistakes or how it harmed his loved ones, but it does explain why he made those choices.

soooo u guys remember Emiko?? yesh I have once again rewritten her, her design will still stay the same, same goes for her name. It's been a while since Emiko really gave me inspirations or any motivation to work on her but recently i was exploring different character concepts and trying to make characters that are not me, and i manage to find one for Emiko that i really like

honestly, i was gonna have a lil funeral for this character sometime but i got this idea and uhh yep, so expect some Emiko content, and feel free to ask questions

So Emiko has grown to be extremely independent and self-reliant after getting betrayed by her friend who helped her out after she got mutated, and now Emiko struggles with trusting others and letting others into their life, fearing of experiencing the same thing again

One thing I always find ironic about the Godzilla Polygon Trilogy is that the directors wanted to draw in more women to the franchise and yet the trilogy has some of the worst female characters I have seen in a Godzilla movie. The main ones are Yuko Tani who solely exists to be Haruo’s love interest and has no other goals or aspirations than being with him. You also have the trilogy’s take on the Mothra twins Maina and Miana. They have no character at all, and their only distinguishing feature is their resting bitch face and tribal tattoos. Also, Maina becomes pregnant with Haruo’s child

What’s frustrating about it is it’s not like the Godzilla movies never had great female characters. My personal favorite is Akane Yashiro from Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. I love her story and journey to grow beyond her trauma and to accept life. Fan favorite Miki Saegusa is great since her telepathic powers allow her to actually be one of the few humans to feel empathy for Godzilla. There’s also Emiko Yamane from the first Godzilla movie. I know some people might dismiss her as a traditional Japanese bride to be, but she is essential to that movie. Everyone confides their worries in her because they all trust her as a confidant, and she is so nice to everyone. When she sees all the horror that Godzilla has wrought, she blabs about Dr. Serizawa’s invention out of desperation as the only way to stop Godzilla.

For a trilogy that prided itself on being different than the previous movies and being supposedly “deep” it fails spectacularly at it. Funny isn’t it.
